Running 100 Miles and Understanding Endurance with Zach Bitter
Monday Mar 13, 2023
Monday Mar 13, 2023
Welcome back to another episode of the podcast featuring discussions with humans who live intentional and meaningful lives.
This episode was just that, featuring professional endurance athlete Zach Bitter. This man is at the fore front of the sport of Ultra Running and is breaking barriers that human's have never endeavoured to. Holding the previous world record of 100 miles on the track with a time of 11:19:13!
We explore what it takes to achieve such a feat, the mindset of running 100 miles, where the mind goes and how to build towards such a physical and mental feat. We discuss his journey of running, how he started and how he implements his learnings through every day life.
Zach is a very astute individual and is very intentional with how he lives his life, these principles have a carry over effect into your life and how you can approach your own 'race' in life.
This was a very engaging and insightful conversation and it showcased the process of one committing their life to a meaningful pursuit. I must admit, it got a bit geeky at times and granular so take notes if you are inclined or simply soak up the wisdom of Zach
I hope you enjoy this conversation, see you next time!
Love,
Stefan.

Thomas Kellenberger : Walking 15,000km’s, Starting an NGO & Moving with Purpose
Thursday Oct 20, 2022
Thursday Oct 20, 2022
Hello all, welcome back to another episode of the podcast. As always thank you for joining me for another journey through conversation and tapping into the infinite wisdom these amazing guests have to offer.
This episode was full of just that wisdom and comes from a man who is exploring the realms of his existence and reaching to places many humans will and may never go. Who is he? His name is Thomas Kellenberger. He is the founder of NGO, Island Kids Philippines and is currently on a pilgrimage walking from Switzerland all the way to the Philippines to raise awareness for children who fall victim to abuse and who don't have access to resources or facilities to gain proper education. His organization has already built schools and offered gateways for children into schooling and ultimately, higher education.
We get to cover the whole extent of his journey, currently and prior, just to get a glimpse into what compels a human to offer so much of themselves to something far bigger than them.
Prepare to learn about his reasoning for taking up such a feat, what service means to him, his nutrition along the way, his training leading up to his immense task. We learn about how he began the NGO, how his heart opened to these children, what 13 months on foot has taught him so far, how he embraces discomfort and much more.
This was an incredibly inspiring conversation for me as i'm sure it will be for all of you.
Links to his NGO, donations tabs, his instagram and any other information about Thomas and his journey is below.
Thanks again for tuning in and remember if you would like to support the podcast further, please rate, review and share the podcast on all major streaming services. It will especially help spread more awareness for endeavours such as Thomas's.
Thank you and love you all,
Stefan

Wednesday Aug 24, 2022
Welcome back to another episode of the Living In Service Podcast. I hope you have been keeping well and have been getting closer to your vision of a meaningful and honest life.
This conversation was a reflection of this aim, as Grant and I discussed what metabolic health is, how to achieve metabolic health, what metabolic flexibility means, why fat has a bad wrap and much more.
To begin I would like to brief on Professor Grants background. He is currently a Professor of Public Health at Auckland University and is director of the universities Human Potential Centre. He's an author of bestelling book's, What The Fat, What The Fast, What the Fast for Sport Performance, What The Fat Cookbook and is director of PreKure, an online social enterprise aimed at educating and empowering the individual to lead a healthier fuller life.
A lot of his current research is focused on prevention as a means to a cure. He understands getting to the root cause of the problem is most effective versus acquiring the disease and combating the problem once the issue has arisen. Professor Schofield offers solutions and approaches as to equipping oneself, offering a toolkit to combat the decline of our own health. This was an incredibly insightful conversation and I am so happy I managed to get him on the show. Ive attached some links below for you to explore deeper into what Professor Schofield has in the works.

Thursday Jun 30, 2022
Thursday Jun 30, 2022
Welcome back to another episode of Living In Service. I hope life has been moving in the direction you seek!
This latest episode was a sure step in the direction of living a life of meaning, living a life of value and living a life of intention. Catalin's journey has been a dynamic adventure and he's had to endure through pain, discomfort and was forced to reconcile his lifestyle decisions.
We explore the path he has been on and the change of heart he had, to live a more beautiful life. We explore the adventures he's had ranging from riding a tandem bicycle through Europe to Africa, going a year with no speaking, being an immigrant, creating a movement 'another beautiful day' and now currently working on an autobiography for the past 5 years.
Catalin really embodies his truth and lives his life on his own terms. He teaches us the necessity for discipline, discomfort and building consistency.
I really loved this conversation and was so happy to have this open dialogue with Catalin.

Gabriel Padilla On Movement and Reconnection to Nature
Tuesday Apr 26, 2022
Tuesday Apr 26, 2022
Welcome back seekers and curious minds. This episode brings us Gabriel Padilla, movement practitioner, coach and mentor. Gabriels philosophy is rooted in nature and the process of reintegration and reconnection bringing us closer to the basic instincts engrained in our bodies. We discuss his upbringing, how he got into movement and why movement is a primary function to being a human being.
I really enjoyed this conversation and i'm sure you will gain some value from the words and offerings of Gabriele. As he states, reconnection training is a natural fitness method with an evolutionary perspective of physical conditioning. This is our birth right.

From Club to Heart with Joshua Styles
Monday Mar 14, 2022
Monday Mar 14, 2022
Josh Styles is a man full to the brim of deep rooted wisdom and spiritual maturity. His history as an ex gang member left his soul in tatters and begging for deeper answers. Throughout his journey it left him with impressions as to how one is to navigate the gallows of gruelling questions where one must ask, "what am I doing with my life?"
This was a deep and immersive conversation that left me full of more empathy and awareness for all the souls who find other means to living their life and the way in which they make their living.
Josh's journey shall open your heart and mind to why it is that some people choose what they do. That it is not mere circumstance, but their inward intentions of living a life where they seek validation, companionship and meaning.
I sincerely hope you enjoy the episode,
In Service,
Stefan
